We are thrilled to host two premier events on VR and AR in Education in NYC this August!
Join us for a full-day workshop with a focus on strategic vision and/or a half-day workshop on crafting immersive experiences. Both workshops build on some of our most successful events at SXSWedu, EDUCAUSE and most recently the Virtual Reality Master Class at the New Medium Consortium this summer. The session design incorporates hands-on activities and practical tools. We will provide attendees with insights on how to successfully start and lead innovation initiatives with immersive technologies. To ensure a valuable experience each session is capped at 30 participants.

VR and AR in Education: Crafting Immersive Experiences in Humanities, Social Sciences, and STEM
This half-day workshop is tailored to teachers, instructional designers, and creators of immersive experiences. We will start with a fast-paced review of platforms, content examples, emerging practices, and strategies to help you kick-start your own VR and AR projects. The hands-on workshop offers participants the opportunity to experiment with a variety of immersive tools including VR cameras, mobile headsets, 3D volumetric scanners and curated content and platforms. Participants in the half-day Thursday morning workshop are welcome to join the Wednesday evening Happy Hour from 5:00pm-6:30 pm. The event will be held in the beautiful Steelcase Worklife Center at Columbus Circle in Manhattan. Meet and network with participants in a beautiful space overlooking the city lights of Columbus Circle and Central Park.

Maya Georgieva is an EdTech and XR strategist, futurist and speaker with more than 15 years of experience in higher education and global education policy. Her most recent work focuses on innovation, VR/AR and Immersive storytelling, design and digital strategy.
